Lost City of the Incas

Hiram Bingham, the Yale archaeologist, found Machu Picchu in 1911. He admired the setting, "On all sides were rocky cliffs ... Beyond them cloud-capped snow-covered mountains rose thousands of feet above us." In his book, Lost City of the Incas, Bingham exclaimed, "Would anyone believe what I found?"

Magical Peru: Machu Picchu, Cusco and The Sacred Valley

Tours are available from April through December.

Stay in a beautiful new bed and breakfast, Paz y Luz, the home of our Peru tour operator, Diane Dunn. Diane is an American in Peru, her home since June 2000. She is an initiate in the Andean (Inca) spiritual tradition and is trained in Andean energy healing and alternative healing practices. This trip is unique; you not only explore Machu Picchu and its surroundings but you also partake in meditation practices to relieve stress and help you get in tune with your inner self.
